Out like a light.

Slept like a rock through the first night. I don’t think sleeping will be a problem for me on this adventure. I am also very much going to be able to get used to being woken up by the bells tolling across florence from the Duomo every hour on the hour. They are quite loud and they played the role of my alarm clock this morning at 8am. Off to orientation in just over an hour. I am excited to meet new people and really begin to get a feel for what I am about to get myself into at SACI. I am enjoying a bowl of corn flakes at the moment sitting here in the kitchen. My goal this morning is to figure out how to open the metal bars that are behind the window which lead out onto the roof. I think eating breakfast, in the morning light, on the roof, looking up at the Duomo, might be high on the list of the coolest things that I have ever gotten to do. Wish me luck!
